Project Description

The newly completed “Lucis One” office building on the south side of the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven is a striking highlight in its surroundings. With a height of 45 metres and eleven storeys, this sustainable and high-end multi-tenant building provides space for various functions, including electrical engineering laboratories. The project is designed to meet the highest standards in terms of sustainability and flexibility, thus playing an important role in the further development of the campus.

Function distribution and intended uses

The building covers approximately 12,600 m² of gross floor area (GFA) and is equipped with flexible, divisible floors suitable for both single- and multi-tenant use. In addition to office spaces, “Lucis One” offers room for electrotechnical laboratories and shared facilities, such as a communal entrance, meeting rooms, and a lobby leading to the roof terrace. The social area with a roof garden on the fourth floor contributes to an inspiring working climate and social interaction.

Facade Design and Materials

The façade of “Lucis One” reflects the high-quality appearance of the High Tech Campus. Clean lines, modern materials and generous glazing ensure a professional and contemporary look. The design seamlessly connects with the natural surroundings and the architectural atmosphere of the campus.

Architectural Design Vision

The building, designed by INBO in collaboration with Juurink+Geluk, Archimedes and Deerns, combines functionality with aesthetics. The high-quality architecture and the integration of smart technologies create a future-proof building with an optimal working climate. The entrance and central facilities are designed to make an inviting and impressive statement, while the rooftop garden offers a unique space for relaxation and collaboration.

Sustainability and Innovation

With an A+++ energy rating and the integration of WELL and BREEAM-enabled techniques, “Lucis One” sets a new standard for sustainable offices. Smart technologies ensure an energy-efficient building with a comfortable and healthy indoor climate. Due to its location on campus, close to amenities such as sports facilities, catering, and The Strip, the building offers not only a functional but also a strategically valuable working environment.

“Lucis One” is not only an architectural highlight but also a symbol of innovation and sustainability, marking the entrance to the High Tech Campus from the A2/N2/A67 motorway.
