Project Description
Housing cooperative Bergopwaarts is by summer 2019 by Stichting Maatschappelijke Opvang Helmond and Surroundings Foundation (SMO) asked Bergopwaarts to investigate the possibility of building a new replacement building on the site of the existing homeless shelter d'n Herd on Bindersestraat in Helmond. In doing so, Bergopwaarts asked vb&t Projectmanagement to supervise the Development Phase. This ultimately resulted in a plan that is financially feasible, fits within the existing zoning contours and is supported by the municipality. For the realisation of this project, vb&t Projectmanagement issued a tender which resulted in the selection of Bouwbedrijf van de Ven for the realisation of this project.

VB&T Activities
In the Development Phase, vb&t Projectmanagement provided the project management and, together with the other consultants, developed a financially feasible plan within the existing zoning plan contours. In addition, vb&t Projectmanagement took care of the drafting of the letter of intent and the lease agreement between both parties, the preliminary consultations with the municipality, the organisation of neighbourhood participation and, finally, an alternative call for tenders, which led to the selection of Bouwbedrijf van de Ven, which will further develop the plan technically and take care of the realisation.
