Project Description

HTCE has developed the plans to renovate the existing rear entrance with outdoor space and the loading and unloading platform of HTC-37.

• Entry: the existing steel structure with glass roof and facades will be removed, as well as the existing internal staircase with accessible platform lift and the steel structure with natural stone cladding at the location of the stairs. The facade line at the front will be set back approximately 5 m.

The new entrance will be extended on the left side, creating a connection with the reception area on the ground floor. The facades will be designed as curtain walls and the roof will be covered with sedum. The entrance area will become a traffic space and will also have a meeting function. The apron steps will remain and a void with glass balustrade will be created here. Speed lanes will be installed in front of the lift hall in the basement. The whole will have a new look and feel.

• Rear entrance with outdoor space: the existing platform and stairs will be removed, as will the existing window frames. New window frames will be installed with French doors, and a raised terrace will be created with two concrete stairs, hardwood seating elements and flower boxes.
• Loading and unloading platform: the existing stairs and platform will be removed. Where possible, the railings will be retained for reuse at the new platform with stairs. The paving will also be extended.

The planning permission has been granted and Bouwbedrijf van de Ven has been selected as the executing party. Implementation started on 2 October 2023.
