What does the coronavirus mean for our services?

12 March 2020

Latest update: 26 November 2020

The health of our customers and staff is our top priority, and we are happy to follow the guidelines of the RIVM and the Government.
For this, we would like to draw your special attention to:

Office occupancy

Following advice from the RIVM, we are having our employees work from home as much as possible. They are naturally reachable by phone and email. Work will continue, possibly in an adapted form.

Appointments at our offices if necessary and possible

Our offices will temporarily remain open at normal opening hours with a minimal staff presence. If a visit to our office is necessary, we ask that you naturally adhere to the RIVM guidelines. If you have symptoms, such as a cold, fever, or a sudden loss of taste or smell, we expect you not to visit and to cancel your appointment in advance.

Almost always, there are good alternatives to organising a face-to-face meeting at the office. Our starting point is to hold discussions/meetings by telephone or via video conferencing, and only postpone them in extreme cases.

Should a visit to our office prove necessary and possible, we kindly request you follow the instructions below:

  • Please wear a face covering upon entry: once you are seated, the face covering may be removed. When you then get up to go to the toilet or outside, for example, the face covering must be worn again.
  • Keep a minimum of 1.5 metres distance and do not shake hands
  • Wash or disinfect your hands as soon as you enter.
  • No of cough in your elbow joint.
  • Use paper tissues and discard them immediately.
  • Wash your hands after using tissues.
At all branches of vb&t Groep, our reception and meeting rooms have been adapted in accordance with RIVM guidelines. For example, screens have been installed to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. This way, we can still welcome you, but at an appropriate distance!
Waiting times on the phone may be longer

As stated above, virtually all colleagues are currently working from home. We are doing everything we can to assist you, but waiting times on the phone may be longer than you are used to from us. We hope for your understanding.

Valuations, viewings and property inspections will proceed if possible.

Valuations, viewings, property inspections and completions will continue as normal, provided no one has symptoms of illness. In that case, a practical but responsible solution must be sought through good mutual consultation. Final inspections will proceed as normal, taking RIVM guidelines into account. We request that you max. 2 people to attend the appointment. If the property is rented out immediately after, we also request the new tenant(s) to max. 2 people to attend the appointment. Furthermore, wearing a face mask is compulsory! Pre-rental inspections of the properties will take place over the phone.

We do not send colleagues who are feeling unwell on home visits. If you have symptoms (such as a cold, raised temperature, or sudden loss of taste or smell), please inform the person you have an appointment with by telephone in advance so that the appointment can be rescheduled or taken over by a family member, acquaintance, or friend. If we arrive at your home and you have symptoms, we will decide not to enter your home and will reschedule the appointment.

Owners' association meetings

VvE meetings are therefore no longer taking place during this period, but if any are still scheduled, they will either be postponed or held digitally.

Prioritising repair requests

If you, as a member of a homeowners' association or a tenant of a property, report a repair request/fault, we will accept it and process it administratively as usual. You can report all faults as normal. Should this report lead to an instruction for executing companies, we will issue this instruction to executing companies. Executing companies each have their own COVID-19 policy, which generally prioritises assignments with the highest urgency. Less urgent assignments will generally be carried out later than usual. In general, executing companies also do not send employees with symptoms and expect you to inform them promptly if you have symptoms. We ask for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
