What does the coronavirus mean for our services?

9 December 2020

2020 began like any other year. The Dutch economy was running at full speed. For many companies, this was going to be a year to truly excel. Expansion, redevelopment, housing construction, transformation, and sustainability of existing real estate were all within the scope of this year. For us, it was a year in which vb&t Projectmanagement, with a new management team, could further expand its Projectmanagement services.

As the end of February approaches, a virus becomes feared, and globally, it suddenly becomes a serious matter. By mid-March, a large part of the world is in lockdown. The Netherlands included. Some of our projects are put on hold, and en masse, we start working from home. Difficult when our construction projects aren't taking place in the back garden.
Zoom, Teams, Skype, 1½ metres, walking meetings... everything was deployed to keep our projects progressing without too many limitations. This has demanded a lot from the parties involved in our projects. Often tiring and intensive, but resulting in new kick moments for those involved. At least, that's how we experienced it.

Midway through the third quarter, a kind of resignation seemed to set in. Paused projects were slowly restarted and spending was initiated. Networks managed to find each other. Less power play and more connection.

Never waste a good crisis (Winston Churchill).

vb&t Projectmanagement looks back on an educational year and takes the ‘new habits’ that have proven to replace old patterns with it into 2021!
We would like to take this newsletter to thank all our past and new clients for their flexibility and trust.
