Project Description
The Zilverlinde in Roosendaal is a primary school belonging to the Pallas Foundation. The project is currently in the design team phase for the renovation and subsequent refurbishment of the school building. The building was constructed in the 1980s and has been extended in later phases. The educational facilities are being brought up to current standards. The renovation of the existing school building constitutes Phase 1. In Phase 1, not only will overdue maintenance be addressed, but the classrooms, staff room, group rooms/meeting rooms, and hall will be fully renovated. The school building will be made more sustainable through the post-insulation of facades and roofs. Additionally, all classrooms will be equipped to a ’Frisse Scholen" (Fresh Schools) Class B standard. Phase 2 involves a new-build extension of approximately 450 m².2, which will provide the school with a large auditorium, extra classrooms and extra consultation rooms for the teachers. After the sketch design phase, the contractor and its installers will be selected through a construction team tendering procedure.
